Judging cigars like it's the apocalypse!

What has happened??

I haven't been smoking much due to the fact that it's been so cold I have to break the smoke off the end of my cigar.  Anyways I have two new entries...

The Oliva Master Blend III Robusto

Now this cigar came to me with very high reviews and recommendations.  Supposedly this is the choice cigar of the Oliva family with a very limited number being released to the public.  This is the third year the master blends have been released, hence the roman numeral III.  Well lets hope this is the last...  This cigar started off very nicely; it looked great out of the box, smelled great before lighting, had a pleasant color and texture, it even had a pretty label. as I lit the nice nicaraguan stick, I noticed and immediate surge of... lets call it "flavor".  Mild to medium through the first third.  Then from out of nowhere came the "flavor" again.  Is that?  Could it be..... asphalt.  That is the best way to describe it. Asphalt and Windex were the only "flavors"  I could pick up for the remainder of this cigar.  Along with the tough draw as well as the constant touching up, I cannot call this cigar a pleasant experience.  You Oliva's must be a rugged bunch to choose to smoke these cigars.  I'm picturing a mix between vikings and Chuck Norris.......

The La Vieja Habana Chateau Corona.

Now this cigar had been in the old humidor for some time now.  This is one of the first "real" cigars I had ever smoked.  I literally enjoy each one as much as that first.  It's mild but very flavorful characteristics are well suited for new smokers, as well as you seasoned vets.  What I'm trying to say is this cigar has something for everyone.  With it's Corojo wrapper, Nicaraguan filler, earthy, woody, nutty flavors, effortless draw and beautiful ash, I think this may become one of your favorites as well.
P.S. This stick makes TONS of smoke.  I don't know the logistics behind it but DO NOT smoke it while driving.  Smoke it by the pool, with the sexy latino honeys looking on, because alot of cigar smoke is cool. I don't know why, but you know it is...
